Gandolfini doesn't want deposition taped

NEW YORK, April 9 (UPI) -- Papers filed in New York's Brooklyn Supreme Court show actor James Gandolfini has requested his deposition for a lawsuit not be videotaped.
A Brooklyn man is suing the former star of TV's "The Sopranos" for allegedly slapping, punching and cursing at him when he approached the actor at JFK Airport on Jan. 29, 2008.
"I spoke to him in a kind of Tony Soprano accent, like, 'Yo, Tony.' All of a sudden, he turned around and choked me... and punched me," Jason Ertischek told the New York Post the day of the alleged incident.
The motion filed by Gandolfini's lawyers said videotaping his deposition "is intended solely to harass, annoy and prejudice defendant and violate his due-process rights," the Post said.
Galdolfini is now starring in the Broadway play "God of Carnage."
